Interview Of DID Star Haroon Rao

As you all are acquainted of Haroon Rao, contestant of Dance India Dance Season 4 from Dehradun, he proves that everything can be achieved by hard work. Here we have bring a short interview of Haroon Rao, so that everyone can know about Haroon Rao.

Youths Area: Hello Haroon, first of all I’d like to know, what get you into dancing?  Or what inspires you to do dance?

Haroon:  Earlier when I was 3 or 4 years old, I used to do dancing in marriages and other functions (schools etc) just for fun. As I got so much happiness by dancing! After that...when I was of 12 years old, I met with some cool dancers, they were far better then me.......! So, then I have taken dance professionally and started doing practices in my home by myself....! My inspiration is Robert Murraine (foreign dancer). I used to watch his videos online to do practice. Now I have my own hall and my own style of dancing, and definitely after sometime the new dance form will be generated from Dehradun, as I am working hard on it.....!

Youths Area: I heard that you are a student; does dancing affect your studies?? Means how you have managed studies while practicing dance for DID?

Haroon: Yes I am a student, I don’t mix up  both study and dancing in my schedule. I give my time to dance and studies separately. So I think I’ve managed dancing and studies properly as I got 80% (PCB) from CBSE board.

Youths Area: How many years you have been dancing?

Haroon: I have been dancing since my childhood (6 years).

Youths Area: What is your favorite style of dance to perform or watch?

Haroon: Usually I was all the dance style, but Popping and Robotics are my favorites.

Youths Area: Do you have any dancer role models?

Haroon: Yes, Robert Murraine.

Youths Area: How did you feel when you performed on DID stage?

Haroon: I felt like ....it is the only chance to prove myself. The only thing in my mind was that I have to give my best today, and it works.. I got standing ovation from judges.(smiling)

Youths Area: Do you plan to do something with dance later in life, or is it just a hobby?

Haroon: Ya sure...its my dream to be a dancing star...
